Panda's extinction

By Ruben Santiso Randis and Celia Veiga López

Everybody knows what is a panda. Those lovely animals are identified by their distinctive black and white coloring. They are named giant panda or panda bears, too. The pandas are an endangered specie, so actually there are only around 2060 pandas living in the wild. They have been endangered because we, the humans, have driven them to the edge of extintion.

Why? Because of the destruction of their area and the bamboo’s forests that humans make everyday. That’s a big problem, because they won't have anywhere where live or anything what eat. Pandas’s only foodstuff is the bamboo, so if the human destroys the forests that produce their food, they won’t have natural bamboo, and they won’t eat correctly. Actually, there are some bamboo's farms, but the natural bamboo and the artificial bamboo arent the same. For take care of this situation, chinese people made the Chengdu Giant Panda        Breeding Research Base, where pandas could live without any problem. Here, they will try to reproduce and, on this way, the number of pandas would increase. But panda's procreation is very infrenquently This is thanks to the efforts of the Chinese authorities, and the support of WWF, and even people like you!

Other reason of panda's deaths, are the hunters. But chineses implemented harsh penalties for people who killed pandas. However, pandas are accidentally killed because of hunting traps.

Finally, we must say that thanks to the remedies, panda's danger of extinction is dissapearing. This way, the number of pandas in China is increasing.

  3. Wow, it's so sad to see how deadly can be a human. It's seems like you really like pandas. I really hope humans change some day just to see if we can be a peaceful specie.
